Oh by the way, I had a reservation with @Hilton for the same weekend and they got the room cancelled with no problem whatsoever. Guess I'll be staying with them since their customer service is superior!
@MarriottBonvoy This has been the worst customer service experience with a hotel I've ever had. Got charged a $276.39 "no-show" fee after cancelling 2 days prior to my check-in. Then only $249 is refunded to my card after 2+ weeks of phone calls. I see Hilton stays in my future!
At first they said they couldn't give me a refund at all, just Bonvoy rewards points. I told them not to worry about it - won't need the points if I never stay at a Marriott property again!
Maybe it's just me, but scamming people out of $27 seems like a weird business model...

@andrewneeme@wpt_global I've been told by numerous folks that I'm pretty awesome. If that's not enough, here's a couple more.
1) I've been subbed since before you haphazardly opened mail on your couch with a kitchen knife.
2) I too enjoy tasty beverages and we could crush beers while I'm in town.
