Grateful to the organisers of #LorneProteomics2021 for putting together a wonderful conference and allowing me to present my (hopefully soon to be published) research in a face-to-face setting. Looking forward to attending again next year!

@Jessica__McK Iโve had the same experience marking across both Science and Arts this semester. With some students, it was easy to tell AI-written sentences because sentence structure and grammar were suddenly correct.
We are excited about this online workshop on statistics in archaeology next week! There has been heaps of interest so far and there is still time to register if you want to attend! #archsci#statistics
@JoMcDonald12 All good! Based on the small size and thickness of the incised piece, we believe it was most likely a decorative inlay rather than a handle itself. Possibly made of a rib bone as itโs quite flat. All the worked bone in this assemblage was made from cattle bone.
@JoMcDonald12 Thanks Jo, Iโm glad you found the talk interesting. I just want to clarify that Iโm not Tharawal myself, I just grew up in and around the Tharawal community.
@osteo_clo@jillian_garvey@AJ_Doubleday@PopelkaFilcoff@AmyLPrendergast @mfwhitford The MQ BArch program now only allows for minors in science (as opposed to majors back in my day) which, in my observations, doesn't give students enough exposure to science for them to develop confidence and solid foundations in the field.
The view this morning on the walk to @AustArchaeology conference venue @DarwinConventio. It has been over 30ยฐC since 8am but itโs a lovely day for listening to talks in aircon. #AAA45
En route to Darwin for the @AustArchaeology annual conference. Thanks to @MQ_BDRC for travel support and thanks Qantas for the inflight wifi so I can tweet from the sky like the little bird in the logo intended
Remembering my last trip to Sydney when @ARCAS_news student ambassadors @DylanMultari and @AJ_Doubleday gave me a wonderful tour of @mq_dha on Wallumattagal Country! Great opportunity to talk #ArchSci, student support, and meet other enthusiastic students! Such a warm welcome ๐

ARCAS is seeking student ambassadors from each institution in Australasia that conducts archaeological science research. These students will promote ARCAS among their institutionโs student cohort, including helping with membership recruitment and promoting ARCAS events.
New work from my PhD now available as a preprint. Using #ZooMS collagen fingerprinting to identify Australian colonial-era bone artefacts. Paper currently under review @ElsevierArchaeo

@ChrisStantis@RKP_Industries Iโm glad to hear you liked the paper, Chris! Fun fact: my arm was the lucky test subject that got stickered for this project
