Catching up with one of the best lineman in the state in 2026 KU commit Kaden Snyder (Salina Central HS) at Sharp Performance top prospect. Snyder has added 60+ pounds since we last talked to him at this event a year ago. Athletic lineman that is still very underrated. Great kid. #sportsinkansas
Sports in Kansas 2025 1A-II Girls 🏀 Coach of the Year: Trevor Kuhlman of Linn
There were a lot of firsts this year for Kuhlman and Linn HS. Playing in the top 2A & below league in Kansas you are tested every night out and it’s not just in girls basketball, it’s all sports. Kuhlman led the Bulldogs to their first ever state championship game this March, falling to fellow district school and rival Hanover, 46-35, in the state finals in Colby. Kuhlman, who is also the schools athletic director and head football coach, also led their football team to their first home playoff game since 1998 this fall. Of Linns seven losses, six came to teams who played for state titles this year, five of those losses to teams who won state titles. Insane how good this league is. The Belleville, Kansas native is a graduate of Republic County HS and Kansas Wesleyan University where he played basketball for two years and was a student coach for two more. “I am extremely proud of our girls and what they accomplished this year. Our league is a gauntlet every year, and to survive that and make a postseason run is something I am extremely proud of. Everyday at practice they wanted to get better, and the results at the end speak for themselves. They were able to finish the year with the best finish in school history, and that is something they will always be able to look back on with great memories and pride.” Kuhlman told Chet Kuplen of Sports in Kansas earlier this week. #sportsinkansas
Cool moment before girls title game between Hanover and Linn, both in the same school district. USD 223 superintendent Lee Schmidt starts with Hanover and then walks across to Linn
Linn is headed to the state championship game for the first time in school history as they defeat Attica, 54-39, to advance to the 1A-II state championship in Colby. They await the winner of Hanover and Lebo. Linn is also in the same league & school district as Hanover. Centralia also advanced in 1A-I to title game and Doniphan West in the same league still alive in 2A. Hannah Hernandez will catch up with the team shortly. #sportsinkansas
Linn (1A-II) advances to the Final Four🏀 in Colby for the first time since 1985 and second time in school history. Hannah Hernandez caught up with the Bulldogs after their win over South Haven, 51-39. #sportsinkansas
More Than a Game: Linn and Hanover competed against each other last night, but came together to support an 8 year old girl from Palmer, Addie Voelker, who was recently diagnosed with Synovial Cell Syndrome. The Hanover Boys basketball team even put together a raffle for a signed Avery Johnson jersey to help raise funds for the family. 👏 #sportsinkansas
Conner Ohlde of Linn with a huge game in the 50-44 OT win over Doniphan West. Sitting at 6’2 175lb, the senior had 23 points and 16 rebounds in the win. This is just one of two impressive dunks by Ohlde. Ohlde is averaging 15.5 points and an impressive 15.5 rebounds for Linn through 6 games. A player that can create a lot of problems for teams as he has helped lead Linn to a 4-2 start to the season. #sportsinkansas
