@JefferyWhitne17@SethDavisHoops "I’m a lawyer bro" I don’t give a fuck. It’s required that athletes be treated fairly and equally. If you classify college athletes as "employees" schools would go bankrupt trying to fund the other athletic programs, which they’re legally obligated to do.
@4thandGoalCW@FoxworthShow@Foxworth24 The irony of talking heads complaining about "the wealthy wanting to line their pockets and players get nothing" while arguing that college football players should get to line their pockets while the rest of college athletes suffer is just too good.
@JefferyWhitne17@SethDavisHoops There are a host of legal reasons these kids can’t get sign real employment contracts. The main is title 9. College athletics is not a private marketplace, the schools are funded by the taxpayer and have to abide by federal regulations.
@BenjaminSWatson They aren’t employees. The schools are publically funded, there isn’t any governing body to bargain with. Also, they can’t because under title 9 the schools have to provide the same opportunities for female athletes. Paying through NIL is different.
@LeBatardShow@MichaelRyanRuiz You only think they’re political lobbyists when you think they’re on the wrong side. Also, in this context, it makes sense that they would lobby for the bill. The bill directly impacts the American sports landscape. Why wouldn’t they have an opinion on the bill?
@MTTHEW_33@c0mpeau@1standtuna The receiver didn’t "initiate contact" he slowed his momentum to play the ball, before the ball arrived, the DB shoved him in the back. Just saying "but he was making a play on the ball” doesnt justify the contact.
@Jeff53506832@3andout_pod@JohnMiddlekauff It looks like he is slowing down to try and make a play on the ball when he gets shoved in the back by the DB. He may have sold it a little, but that doesn’t change the fact that Wallace did shove him in the back, cant do that.
@Harrison_Clay10@3andout_pod@JohnMiddlekauff Yes, the DB can make a play on the ball, but he can’t shove the receiver to do it. When you watch the play at full speed, it does look like Bryant is trying to slow down to play the ball and Wallace shoves him forward.
@wingoz It really wasn’t a bad call. You can’t shove the receiver out of the way to make a play on the ball. It’s pretty clear, he has is hands on Bryant’s back and pushed him to try and get to the ball.
@RLos13Knows@SatchelPrice What’s wrong with wanting to play catch with your hero? I’m a grown man, I’ve watched Mike trout play baseball since I was a kid. If I had the chance to play catch with him, I’d take it in a heartbeat, it’s super cool and something this guy will never forget.
