@CrowleyOnAir@BBCRadioLondon Hey GC May I be so bold as to suggest my song ‘Berlin (East West)’ which I wrote after living there in 1979:) https://t.co/Xgcl1h0UVy
In my continuing series…. 50 years ago on 31st May I saw The Who at Charlton for the second time:) I can remember it rained and was packed solid also some idiot climbed up the floodlight tower which meant The Who couldn’t go on until he came down which he finally did:)
Here’s the original music press tour poster. Also a link to a fantastic documentary about the tour that I remember seeing on TV at the time and have just enjoyed watching again 50 years later:) Were you at any of these gigs? https://t.co/npbHK1JNtT @RollingStones
In my continuing series…. 50 years ago on 26th May I saw The Rolling Stones at the Earls Court Arena with support from The Meters. This was part of a six night stand there and you could really feel the excitement in the air as they came on stage:) @RollingStones
In my continuing series... 50 years ago on 16th May I saw #KISS at the Hammersmith Odeon with Stray supporting. I have a clear memory of Stray going down so well that they came back out to do an encore but alas there was no time:( Did you see them on the 'Destroyer' tour? @kiss
@CrowleyOnAir@BBCRadioLondon Hey GC ‘White Wedding’ by Billy Idol:) Now I’ve been spotted in his doc in the queue outside the Marquee Club, I’m the one pulling silly faces:)
A few years ago 3 Savile Row was an Abercrombie & Fitch store so I took a look around. They knew it was once home to #thebeatles and had display cabinets. I’d say the interior is as it was so the full tour will be a great experience:)
A clip of ‘Better Make Tracks’ with my outro #live at The Bedford #balham I wrote this song in 1978 with John Black a friend from school so great to be playing it now:) #fyp
