Dylan Seward earned comps to Trea Turner + Brice Turang in Carlos Collazo's latest offseason scouting installment 👀

Here's why ⤵️

"He handles himself like a professional already."

Scouts have a lot to like about Dylan Seward, between his top-of-scale speed, plus hit tool and standout demeanor.

With the Norco High School shortstop becoming ever more associated with the No. 1 pick in next year's draft, Seward explained to BA, "I don't really feel the pressure."

A look at Norco SS Dylan Seward (@dylan_seward2) during IO today, currently our No. 1 ranked prospect for the 2027 MLB Draft.

Buttery smooth actions, quick feet and good lateral range. Chance for a plus glove at the shortstop position.

[Joe Doyle @JoeDoyleMiLB]

A pro showing from Norco (CA) shortstop Dylan Seward, per usual. Polished as anyone on the dirt. Plays with tempo, bounces on the dirt. Flashed from both side of the plate. Looks the part.

Norco SS Dylan Seward is the top HS prospect in the 2027 Draft.

✅A switch-hitter
✅An elite runner
✅A true shortstop
✅A picture-perfect swing

But for Seward, it's hardly ever come easy. He was written off much of his life. And still feels it...
