31 years ago today, Wu-Tang released their debut LP, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), on Loud Records. one of the most significant recordings ever made.
Wu-Tang released “Protect Ya Neck” as a single through their own label, Wu-Tang Records, in December of 92, where it quickly started buzzing in underground. every record sold came with the RZA’s phone number, in case any bigger fish wanted a piece. eventually, he parlayed that hype into a group deal with Loud Records, which kicked off the creation of their debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
recording at Firehouse Studios, a cheap spot in Brooklyn ill-equipped to handle one vocalist, let alone nine. 36 Chambers directly paved the way for harder-edged New York shit from Nas, Mobb Deep, and B.I.G,. and provided a hardcore hip-hop blueprint that’s been followed for three decades. one of the greatest debuts in hip-hop history, and one of the most important works of the 20th century.
@vinnie_paz I feel like Jesse would have annoyed your soul after about 10 minutes 😂😂… Lisa was fly, Kelly did Zack dirty with the whole Jeff from the Max fiasco
.@vinnie_paz's upcoming EP, Jacinto's Praying Mantis, drops 6/21 on https://t.co/WGXlG5N9wa before any other platform. CDs, vinyl and tapes avail for pre-order now.
@theantimarkofpw These peoples hot takes about Meth and anyone that came before their time melts my brain. The only genre in all of music who shits on those who made it even possible for these talentless hacks to have a “career”. You never see this with any other music genre. Its wild.
Good! Don't nobody wanna see you old niggas perform. I couldn't name one Method Man song other than the one with Mary. And Redman is only known for his classic MTV cribs episode 😂😂😂
@Powers__Nick Sadly these folks are for real. It’s amazing how hip hop is the only musical genre where those who paved the way are disregarded and considered old. Let’s not even get into the fact she’s from Florida. Wtf does FL know about hip hop…this is the state that produced Kodak Black
@Powers__Nick@TheRealDocDay@teammayson 😂😂 you fellas go ahead don’t let me stop you from talking yo movie shit. Discuss to your hearts content I got a lot to catch up on that thread anyways 💪🏼
The OG AEW roster from April 2019.
28 out of 41 people here are still employed with the company.
In 2024, now they have possibly the greatest wrestling roster ever under contract.
@TheJimCornette@Rosenbergradio “I’ve contributed a lot”…. WHAT THE FUCK HAS PETER ROSENBERG CONTRIBUTED to the wrestling business? Imagine this guy walking into the locker room telling Harley or Andre or even Hogan “I’ve contributed a lot here”.
@JeffComesForAll She’ll be podcasting in a few years lecturing men on how to be men and all that other jazz. She’s 32 too as well. Clocks ticking and may have already struck 12 🙄
@PWPNation You said you his death should be investigated. I go back to my original response - investigate what? Man who used steroids and copious amounts of them for years died of a heart failure. To insinuate there’s anything more to it is irresponsible and a reach.
