@SportsnetSpec If he gets an occasional save, nobody cares. Can’t play mistake-free hockey, especially when you thrive on riding the fine line of elite creativity. He sometimes crosses the line and you need to live with it no different than a shit-disturber type who sometimes goes too far.
@DobberHockey Sav is looking v much like ‘23-‘24 Holloway before he popped. Constantly in high value scoring situations (even when without elite linemates), but the game hasn’t slowed down yet to reliably finish. It is coming.
@Sports1440@JasonGregor His flaws are baked in, not part of a temporary funk: Poor gaps on the rush, constantly in soft ice in-zone (including on pk), wild passing, strange shot selection. The issue is he hasn’t improved these flaws and now he no longer provides the bite that used to offset some of this
@JLazzy23 It’s the same mentality that discounts what 97/29/2 do on the Oil pp, as if it’s not all relative and stars on other teams don’t get ~ equal pp time. It’s a game state that is ~25% of hockey and some just do it better.
