Planting trees, strengthening resilience 🌱
We started and ended March 2026 in style; glorifying God through nurturing creation: EADEN, together with community members and school pupils in Busiriwa Sub-county, Bududa District, planted over 6,000 trees with financial support from the Foundation for Community Development and Empowerment (FCDE) and Confluence Institute (CI).
The trees planted, including Bamboo, Avocado, Mangoes, Jackfruit, and fodder species like Calliandra, support both environmental restoration and livelihoods. Bamboo planted along River Sakusaku in Bududa District is a key intervention to protect its riverbank, control erosion, prevent silting, and reduce flooding.
These efforts advance sustainable land management while building climate-resilient communities and nurturing environmental responsibility among the next generation.
