After visiting numerous historical sites around the Philadelphia area and learning more about our early nation, the Defining Independence group ended #EAMayTerm by producing documentaries about some notable people from this important era in our history.

While spending #EAMayTerm learning from eight historical movies, Hollywood and History teams earned "money" through assignments to start up their own production studios! 'The Pharaoh of Rome' team earned the best film trailer prize and 'The Rise of the Han' team won overall. 🎥

Future leaders, just ahead! Following two weeks of inspiring lessons from leaders of all kinds, Learning to Lead spent time reflecting on their definition of leadership, which leadership styles fit them, areas of growth, and potential mentors. #EAMayTerm

Over the course of their #EAMayTerm, Teach a Community to Fish has learned about the sustainability and economic impact of fish populations, helped stock local rivers with 250 trout, and become skilled at reading the rivers while fly fishing!

The students in GET REAL explored many career opportunities during their #EAMayTerm internships! EA alum and parent Judge Karen Marston ’86 and Clerk Mollie Bonner ’19 hosted a group of students, as did EA parent and Eagles Autism Foundation Executive Director Ryan Hammond.

To end their #EAMayTerm, Latinx Identities in Philadelphia visited Reading Terminal Market, where they had a tour, learned the history of the market (including 3 Latinx businesses!), and completed a competitive scavenger hunt with Matt, a @cityfoodtours_philly guide!

The Out Early and Active; Back Late group has not stopped moving! During their final week of May Term, they climbed and zip lined at GO APE, went canoeing down the Brandywine, and hiked the Wissahickon. #EAMayTerm

The Senegal group spent their final days in Dakar, where they met friends from the Eden Academy in Dakar at the African Renaissance Monument, visited a mosque and a beach, learned sand painting, and had dinner by the shore. Safe travels home! #EAMayTerm

In Cuciniamo E Mangiamo, it was Iron Chef competition day! The group split into two teams (boys vs. girls) and went head to head by making three homemade courses in three hours. The secret ingredient? The knowledge that they learned all week! #EAMayTerm
