Did you know that today is 🦟 World Mosquito Day?
Mosquitoes kill more people than any other animal — but communities have the power to stop them.
Today, @eannaso stands with communities across the region to say:
Stop the Bite. End Malaria.
✅ Sleep under a treated net
✅ Clear stagnant water
✅ Take collective community action
Our communities. Our responsibility. Our future.
Small actions today protect families and build healthier tomorrows.
Together, we can end malaria. 💪

The 26th International AIDS Conference convenes global leaders, researchers, policymakers, advocates, communities, and development partners in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and virtually from 26–31 July 2026 under the theme "Rethink. Rebuild. Rise."
This year's theme is a call to reimagine the global HIV response by addressing persistent inequalities, rebuilding resilient and people-centered health systems, and rising together through innovation, solidarity, and sustained commitment. As funding landscapes evolve, community leadership and regional collaboration remain critical to ensuring equitable access to HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support services.
EANNASO reaffirms its commitment to championing community-led responses, amplifying the voices of affected populations, and advocating for policies and investments that will accelerate progress toward ending AIDS as a public health threat. Together, let us rethink our approaches, rebuild stronger systems, and rise to ensure that no one is left behind.

You cannot pour from an empty cup.
Taking a moment to rest, nourish your body, protect your mental well-being, or seek the care you need is not selfish, it's essential. Self-care helps us stay healthy, resilient, and better able to care for those around us.
At EANNASO, we celebrate every small act of self-care and encourage everyone to make their health a priority. Together, let's build healthier communities where everyone can thrive.

On 27 July 2026, @UNAIDS will launch its latest global report, United to End AIDS, at the 26th International AIDS Conference in Rio de Janeiro.
The report comes at a time of drastic cuts to HIV funding, highlighting how these reductions are affecting HIV prevention, community-led services, key populations, and the long-term sustainability of the global HIV response.
It will also spotlight countries making progress toward ending AIDS by 2030, alongside those experiencing increases in new HIV infections, reminding us that progress is possible, but only if investments and political commitment are sustained.
Ending AIDS is not just about funding; it's about protecting lives, safeguarding human rights, and ensuring communities remain at the center of the response.
