Baylor is tied for the longest active streak of producing a first-round NBA Draft pick:
2026: Cameron Carr
2025: V.J. Edgecombe
2024: Ja’Kobe Walter / Yves Missi
2023: Keyonte George
2022: Jeremy Sochan
2021: Davion Mitchell
Scott Drew has built an NBA Factory in Waco.
The Baylor Bears have not been ranked for a single week in any of the past three seasons.
The last day they were ranked was September 30th, 2022 (Week 5) before losing to Oklahoma State and dropping out of the poll.
From 2013-2022, Baylor was a routine part of the Top 25, ranked at some point in 7 seasons during that span and reached the Top 10 in all 7 of those.
They were in the BCS National Championship hunt late in 2013, and were in the CFP race during the 2014, 2015, 2019, and 2021 seasons.
Will 2026 finally be the year that the Bears, with new quarterback DJ Lagway, get back in the national spotlight/Top 25?
They kickoff the upcoming season with a massive neutral site matchup with Auburn in Week 1 where they can make an opening statement.
I was the Justin Herbert vote.
The guy had the worst offensive line in the NFL all season and despite that he was working miracles in almost every single game.
Stafford's OL became 2/5ths as bad as Herbert's for 5 minutes and he became a turnover howitzer.
He embodied 'value'.
"Justin Herbert, do the impossible or it's your fault."
This is why I feel like I’m on an island believing the playoffs almost don’t even matter in this context. Behind this offensive line, 30 other quarterbacks would be lucky to reach 10 wins—let alone make the postseason.
If the Chargers come up short in the playoffs while fielding an offensive line this poor, does that really fall on the quarterback? Reaching the postseason under these conditions is already an accomplishment. Teams with protection this bad are usually eliminated long before this point.
Dave Aranda usually makes the right decisions. They always come too late.
With an underperforming team and declining attendance, Baylor can’t make the same mistake.
It’s time.

you wouldn't think he could still do things that you insist you've never seen before, and yet
My hottest take is that Texas A&M is actually extremely cool and that everyone should lean into and embrace who they are as a school as much as A&M does.
Clayton Kershaw closed his opening remarks at his retirement press conference with his favorite Bible verse.
"Colossians 3:23 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as you're working for the Lord, not for men."
Everyone just now realizing Herbert is good because he's played back-to-back primetime games is so funny to me. He always plays like this. 1pm. 4am. 3pm. Don't matter
According to my research, no MLB team has ever lost a game when the starting pitcher went 8 2/3 innings without allowing a hit.
2025 Dodgers. Unbelievable.
