The Gentle Giraffes enjoyed learning about Diwali today. They enjoyed listening to the story of Rama and Sita and created some fantastic Rangoli patterns.

The Gentle Giraffes have enjoyed designing and creating 2D clay houses this week. They used their knowledge of houses from the past and also thought carefully about the patterns and textures in the clay.

Today the Gentle Giraffes have enjoyed retelling the traditional tale Little Red Riding Hood. 🐺

The Gentle Giraffes looked at some of the vocabulary in our new story book today. We discussed the phrases - bare square of earth, newly planted lawn and bare twigs. The children drew pictures to help them visual each of the phrases.

We are looking at a new book in English over the next couple of weeks. It’s called ‘The House Held up by Trees’ by Ted Kooser. Today we predicted what might happen in the story before we read it!

This week the children are enjoying retelling the Three Little Pigs! There were some fantastic wolf and pig voices today. What would your wolf and little pig voice sound like? 🐺🐷🐷🐷
