✈️ Wondering why my flight back from Fort Lauderdale is so damn full today…
Then I realised that half the passengers are @ebmedgi attendees 😂
Gonna be a fun trip back! 💃🏻🕺🏻
Really resonated with @IrisWangMD’s talk on microaggressions & imposter phenomenon at @ebmedgi
Preparation > reaction.
Authenticity > fitting in.
Belonging isn’t earned by shrinking yourself.

Really enjoyed Dr Hutchin’s @kehutchins77 talk on recent updates to the ACG guidelines for mod–severe UC @ebmedgi Great overview of earlier positioning of advanced therapies, infliximab as the preferred anti-TNF, and the shift toward treat-to-target, patient-centered care.
A wonderful weekend in beautiful Ft. Lauderdale spent learning, connecting, growing, and singing karaoke! Truly, a conference that sets the bar. Many thanks to @BMoshiree and @EBGIdoc for the opportunity. Hope this is the first of many! @ebmedgi#EBMed2026
Reflecting on an incredible weekend @ebmedgi.
Whether it was the Friday trainee session or beach office hours, it was refreshing to sit and talk in a relaxed, non-frenzied way, so different from larger conferences.
It reinforced something I believe strongly:
⭐️ Your career should not depend on one mentor. That model is fragile by design.
Strong careers are built with a mentoring network, not a vertical apprenticeship.
Think in 4 supports:
• Local coaches
• Institutional leaders
• National sponsors
• Peers
How you activate that network matters.
An elevator pitch is not a favor request.
It is an invitation to a shared mission:
past (credibility), present (working direction), future (alignment).
And avoid the common traps:
• Reaching out only when you need something
• Chasing brand names over bandwidth
• Confusing proximity with mentorship
Action: map your network and refine your pitch. Which quadrant needs attention?

🩺Entering into a new stage of your career means making decisions about boundaries and how they shift. Boundaries are not meant to sever relationships, they're meant to strengthen and save them. A good reminder! 💙 #EBMed2026#EBMed
