@emiliefleurot Thanks for having been there talking about a crucial aspect of plant biology when facing climate change. 🌱☀️🌪️ Glad to read you enjoy this experiment! See you at the next edition of E&B Meetings! 👍
@RatheryAlann And a great pleasure to have you! One of the rare talk about invertebrate species. Thanks for having been there talking about nesting behaviour in 🐜🐜🐜
@AngiolaniFranc @unistra We take accusations of xenophobia very seriously. If you have actually been testimony of an actual discrimination of a participant because of his/her origin country, please DM with the description of the fact, so that we can get the full story.
@AngiolaniFranc @unistra It is always possible to be even more inclusive for non-French speakers, but talking about xenophobia is fallacious. We were proud to see people from abroad have come to the conference. Please be careful not to make such serious and unjustified accusations.
@AngiolaniFranc @unistra We internationally spread the event announcement. Actually, we have rejected abstracts because they were only written in French. Moreover, we provided all the information in English. The general audience conference was even live-translated by one organiser.
@AngiolaniFranc @unistra We do not want to run an endless and vain Twitter comment fight so we will not respond again and again to further comments, but such unfair and serious comments must be responded to.
@AngiolaniFranc @unistra We regret that you did not come earlier during the conference and talk with us. Then we could have found a solution together rather than sending 280-character long messages on Twitter, when everything is too late and nothing can be changed.
@Marinapardinus We do value such one-of-a-kind events for PhD candidates and early-career researchers. Once again, sincerely sorry to read you were disappointed by this E&B edition and regret you have not come by us to directly resolve these issues through open discussion.
@Marinapardinus Besides, each participant may have specific needs depending on their institution: language, mention of the gala fee, adding the title and authors’ names of the presentation. This precludes us from having a universal attendance certificate in advance.
@Marinapardinus Once again we are new to organising this kind of event and although it is true that we did not print before the conference such a document, we send a certificate to each participant who requests it (in less than 12h so far). Please contact us if you need one.
