Anyone else feel that twitter/X has gone severely downhill in quality and relevance since Musk bought it?
If any tech person is will to take a risk there is a massive market that is unsatisfied with X and would like an alternative
@robin_j_brooks Bulgaria has its currency already pegged to the Euro in a constant exchange. While I agree that a currency union without a fiscal union is an issue, people/businesses in the country stand to gain from losing FX fees.
Also "hub to Russia" is a bit ridiculous of a comment..
The fact that the new Banksy mural was covered up within a hour of being put up kind of proves the whole point and meaning of the mural in the first place don’t you think! 🤔 🙄🤷♂️
@NXT4EU How can you compare a 4Q period vs. a 2Q period? There's definitely going to be seasonality in the data...
Eastern Europe has a lot of space to catch up hence the faster growth
Western Europe needs to invest more in itself which is being stalled by red tape/regulation.
@vtchakarova Too early to call. Give the tariffs some time to kick in and slow US consumption.
Also I guess alienating your closest allies is now called "winning"
Billionaire Michael Bloomberg has told an audience in Dublin that Brexit was the single stupidest thing any country has ever done.

@lammgrau53379@vonderleyen I'd argue its easier to score cheap political points by making useless investments than restraining yourself and investing only when the potential returns are good (reflected in the growth of the country)
@lammgrau53379@vonderleyen Bulgaria has a lower Debt/GDP (22%) than everyone in the EU other than Estonia, a higher GDP growth (averages 3-4% vs EU's 1%), lower unemployment rate (5.3% x vs EU's 5.8%)
Eurozone tends to be even worse than the EU
The Eurozone might not be good enough for Bulgaria to join
S&P pre market is now -3.6%.
But this is your reminder that thoughtful private equity investors are flat and private credit investors are actually up by their daily coupon.
Genius!
Bringing this kind of diversification to retail is a holy mission and not at all a cash grab or even an exit strategy.

@cduhaime Vast majority of Bulgarians are happy with the country joining the EU.
The EU has brought prosperity, calm and optimism to Bulgarians.
Only negative is the brain drain which was bound to happen as you gave people freedom of movement (though its starting to slowly reverse)
@itsolelehmann The EU definitely has underperformed the US but you should also remember the UK was part of the EU and its exit meant a major economy's figures are excluded from the total. So while still bad its not as bad as portrayed
Always fun to see the 50 companies to watch -- hand selected by @BBGIntelligence analysts.
This year's list includes OMV from @salihenergy, RWE from @PatAlvarezB & Subsea 7 from @WillHares!
$OMV $RWE $SUBC

Eastern Europe is crushing it!
Just noticed Bulgarian wages are absolutely outpacing inflation (10.1% growth YoY in real terms in September)
Wonder if that will be boosted by the additional 2-5% GDP growth from #Schengen
