A reminder of one of the most beautiful etymologies out there: the 'pupil' of the eye is named after the Latin 'pupilla', little doll' - because when we look into the eyes of another, we see a tiny, doll-like reflection of ourselves.

99 years ago, in 1922, Hans-Jürgen Riegel invented the 'Dancing Bear' - a long, slim fruit gummy bear, which he sold two for a penny. It developed into the Gummibärchen and his little company in Bonn would do rather well with it - Haribo, an acronym formed from Hans Riegel Bonn.
