Last year Essex Fire's Rural Builders visited villages across Uttlesford and Braintree, knocked on nearly 3500 doors, booked free home fire safety visits fitting free smoke alarms and gave crime prevention advice to help reduce the fear of crime @EssexPFCC @ECFRS @CPTBraintUttles

This week fire and rescue services are celebrating on-call firefighters. Over 75% of Essex fire stations are on-call - crewed by people who have everyday lives and jobs, until their pager sounds when they become firefighters. https://t.co/7vrjWLDJPu @EssexPFCC @ECFRS
