Chief Election Commissioner and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, Shri Gyanesh Kumar, today met His Excellency Wing Commander Alex Lunyazo Tukuhupwele, Ambassador of Namibia to India, at Nirvachan Sadan, New Delhi.

Building on the momentum generated at IICDEM 2026, both sides resolved to work closely to advance the agenda set out at the conference. The two sides also agreed to strengthen collaboration in election management and the training of election officials.

ECI revised BLA appointment criteria specifying that, in case of unavailability of a Booth Level Agent (BLA) from the same Part of the electoral roll, a Booth Level Agent may be appointed from among any registered elector of the same Assembly Constituency
