@KySportsRadio@KSBarAndGrille This is sad to hear and very disappointing. But I’m sure you guys tried hard to make it work. Unfortunately, between Kentucky basketball and football, there hasn’t been much to get excited or happy about the past five years.
@KySportsRadio Will Stein has been phenomenal so far! He is killing it on the recruiting trail for Kentucky. Hopefully he can hold on to most of these guys.
@DylanBallard_UK Can you get Pope to wear a body cam when recruiting so we can pinpoint the problem(s) he’s having? I’m not sure he is very good with the Xs and Os, but he must find a way to get the Jimmys and Joes.
@KySportsRadio Nope for Cal in Rupp’s rafters, but it would be cool to have a large photo of him riding a hoverboard in his house, a Vespa scooter in his neighborhood, or pushing that stroller with his dogs.
@KySportsRadio Everything Pope touches turns to stone for UK. I prefer a firing now and a complete rebuild with a new coach. It may be worse but the new coach can build for the future. Fire him now and gives us renewed hope for the future.
@KySportsRadio At what point does the UK administration step up and put an end to this nightmare with the basketball program? I can’t believe Eli Capilouto currently answers to no one. Beshear needs to keep up the pressure until Capilouto resigns. Then hire a competent president and AD.
@wildcatnews@CoachMarkPope He should’ve been fired after this season. His failure to sign a single high school recruit on his own is justifies the firing. No reason to give him a third year.
@KSRonX@KySportsRadio Rarely do these situations work out favorably for University of Kentucky basketball. They miss out 90% of the time. Those involved almost always say No. I hope it works this time.
@PolacheckKSR@KySportsRadio@KSRonX@5starrr_twon This is why Mark Stoops needed to be fired regardless of how the last few games went. The Stoops apologists couldn’t see past the end of their noses. Same thing happened with Mark Richt at Georgia before Kirby Smart.
@KySportsRadio Our worst fears as fans are being realized before our eyes. This is 100% Mitch Barnhart and Eli Capilouto’s fault. They have single-handily destroyed the men’s basketball program with their decisions and the UK Board of Trustees have failed in upholding their fiduciary duties.
