This team embraced and embodied the culture of Naz Basketball. I’m so proud of what they accomplished as players but even more so of who they are as people and teammates. Never ready for it to be over but so thankful it ended with a gold medal around their neck!
Took advantage of our off day to deliver the stuffed animals that were donated in our Teddy Bear Toss Game back in December. A great experience for our kids to give to the toy closets in memory of Tatum Schulte and Hunsley Strickland and to The Bridge -Children's Advocacy Center.
I truly appreciate @ECSchill@CoachGerlich and @TalbyJustus taking their time to reflect on the very special and genuine Rebekah Van Dijk. What an impact she leaves
We are deeply saddened to hear that we lost the only Lady Mav to have her jersey hanging in the rafters, Rebekah VanDijk. We send our love and deepest condolences to her family, friends and fans everywhere as we honor her memory and contributions to not only Lady Mavs basketball but to her community and everyone she came in contact with.
Once a Lady Mav, always a Lady Mav🐎
Such an honor to have had you call so many of our games at the Alamodome! I always enjoy telling my players and kids about you. Thank you for using your craft to add to the experience for my teams as well as all of the other Texas high school athletes!
Concluded my time on the mic for the 2025 UIL Girls Basketball State Championships. It was an anniversary, as I originally announced this event in 2015, and the first-ever Basketball State Championship game in the Alamodome, where the Nazareth Swiftettes defeated Lipan, 44-31. Thursday, I had the privilege of once again announcing for @ECSchill as he coached the Swiftettes to their record 26th State Championship with a 55-31 win over Saltillo. #UILState 🏀
Big day for Brooklyn Birkenfeld signing her NIL to be the next Swiftette to become a Flying Queen! Proud of this girl for what she’s done for our program and for what she will do for @FlyinQueensWBB!
Never was on my bucket list but it should’ve been! Glad we had the opportunity to attend the Homerun Derby. It’s worth seeing in person. A little different than on TV.
That’s a wrap on one of my favorite weeks of the year! Had over 70 campers in grades Kindergarten thru 9th. Always a good time working with these kids!
Enjoyed catching up with this special group! Hard to believe it’s already been 10 years. No surprise that they’ve turned into successful people/wives/mommas! Great memories with them!
