This kind of statement is what has always been wrong with the environment in the business I'm in.
Everyone always takes a chance when involved in storytelling of any kind. Especially those who finance the project. There is only way to know if it's gonna work on any level.
Let the audience watch it. Nothing is a sure thing. We all know that the audience will not all be in agreement about the outcome of a any project be for it the stage, small screen or big screen.
To measure it's worth by numbers is ridiculous.
It's a story and when it's told well it's always a success no matter the size of the eventual audience.
It's a Show and a business for sure.
Yet the business end of it never always pays off.
Yet when written and executed well the "Show" in my opinion is always worth seeing.
