In Odesa, emergency services continue working at the site of a drone strike on an apartment building. Damage to apartments from the 10th through the 17th floors left 17 people injured, including three children. Efforts are also ongoing to deal with the aftermath of the strikes in Obukhiv and Boryspil districts. The necessary number of State Emergency Service rescuers are fighting fire at a pharmaceutical company’s warehouse. There were also strikes on Nikopol, Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Khmelnytskyi. Overall, 13 regions sustained damage last night alone.

In many cities and communities, air raid alerts practically do not stop because of the threat of Russian jet-powered drone attacks. The enemy has not gone on vacation – the Russians have found a new way to escalate, and they have no intention of slowing down. We need a stronger response, more countermeasures, and faster defense production with Europe – above all, air defense against missiles and drones. Europe can be self-sufficient and strong – much has already been done toward this in recent years – and only by being this way can it protect itself and its way of life. Let me introduce you to a brave hero from my country, Iran.

She was 16 years old. Just a girl. And on the streets of Iran, she did something braver than most people do in a lifetime: she took off her hijab and burned it in public. Right in front of the regime. Right in front of the world.

That was her crime: civil disobedience. A teenage girl refusing to obey men who claimed authority over her hair, her body, her life.

For that defiance, she was arrested. Her family says she was tortured and killed after falling into the hands of security forces. The Iranian authorities denied responsibility and gave a different account of her death.

Her name was Nika Shakarami. She was 16.

Now ask yourself: How many women in the West know her name? How many know what she risked for a freedom they have never had to fight for?

The collective West is helping create this threat - and its own enemy - with its own hands.

These days, russians have chosen a tactic of openly trying to exhaust Ukrainian civilians, knowing that the Ukrainian nation is a united force standing behind the resistance to russian occupation.

The question is: why is no one talking about international law, human rights, and all the norms established since World War II? By failing to respond decisively to russian aggression, the Western world has effectively granted the Kremlin unique powers and privileges that no other state should have. As a result, it also emboldens its allies and partners, such as Iran, North Korea, and China.
