Coaches tell you to, “Be a leader,” but what does that mean?
Leaders influence people to do something. This week, I told my athletes there are 3 types of leaders:
1 - Leaders who lead by example. Do your job with excellence (to the best of your ability) and integrity (the right way, at the right time, and with the right speed).
2 - Leaders who encourage their teammates. Celebrate people when they do well, and lift them up when they are struggling.
3 - Leaders who hold people accountable. Speak up and hold people accountable by telling them the truth.
Which area of leadership is your strongest, and which area of leadership do you need to get better in?

Great weekend out for a lot of reasons! Some stats … .700 BA; .750 OBP; 7 hits, 6 Runs, 2 RBIs; 6 SB. Played 2nd and SS, 8 TCs; 3 POs; 5 As.
On another note, after careful consideration I’ve decided to finish my last summer travel ball season with the coaches who started it all for me and I COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED!!!! #softball #95⚡️@KirstinMapes@steph_gate2@HamCollSoftball
There are many ways to measure a season and, while this one may have ended a few games too soon, these numbers tell a story of the hard work and effort put in by our girls over not only this season but the past three seasons. Thank you for a great season ladies! 🤎
