Heading into summer feeling extremely grateful for all my experiences in my first few months as an OT! I've met so many caring students who spread kindness everyday β€ @gecdsbpro
Grateful to have spent my last placement with an amazing teacher and a fantastic group of students! Thank you for warmly welcoming me into your little community πβ€ @DiotteEmily @GlenwoodGriffin
Students in 6D made 3D paper #pysanky from nets today. They used symbols and colours to spread good intentions and well wishes to the people of Ukraine. This task required introspection, patience, and perseverance. #caring @DiotteEmily @GlenwoodGriffin
Today's hands-on math activity involved students using net manipualtives to discover the 11 different nets that can make a cube. Students persevered through the challenge and developed their spatial reasoning. @GlenwoodGriffin @DiotteEmily
This made my day when I saw it! In his learning area, this student posted a resource I gave the class to help them create good research questions. He circled the ones that he wants to explore in his #inquiry project. @DiotteEmily @GlenwoodGriffin
Lots of variety in the designs for today's #STEM challenge! Students suspended their "buckets", tested how many pennies they could hold, and then redesigned and retested!
Students in 6D are #writers, #communicators, and #risktakers. They read their children's stories to students in kindergarten, and it was a joy to see them take on this leadership role. @DiotteEmily @GlenwoodGriffin
Today's geometric art in 6D π¨ Students created cascading triangles by moving the apex along a horizontal line. They incorporated balance, symmetry, and gradient shading with a colour palette of their choice. @DiotteEmily @GlenwoodGriffin
Today in 6D, students helped enhance the work of their peers. They posed research questions to deepen their peers' inquiry projects and see their topics from different perspectives. @DiotteEmily @GlenwoodGriffin
@S_Shahbazi23 @DiotteEmily @GlenwoodGriffin Thank you! It was an amazing first week! Sad that I just missed you, hopefully our paths cross in person one day π
Students in 6D used the engineering design process to build the slowest ball run in today's #STEM challenge. They engaged in the iterative process of planning, creating, testing, and improving. @DiotteEmily @GlenwoodGriffin
I had an amazing first day with you and your students! Thank you for a warm welcome β€ @DiotteEmily @GlenwoodGriffin@teach_terri Looking forward to exploring their interests and seeing their learning grow!
