EGA were invited to attend 'Lessons at 10'. The week’s theme will be centred around London Fashion Week. We discussed the fashion industry, business and sustainability . EGA was also given a tour of the Downing Street state rooms and gardens.

Our year 7 debate team had the fantastic opportunity to visit and tour the Houses of Parliament. The year 7s were able to see gloriously decorated areas such as the robing room, House of Lords and House of Commons.

On Saturday 30th of September, DofE participants had a day of tent building and cooking using a trangia set. We had to come into school at 10 and we started with tent building. We also made spaghetti bolognese, pot noodles and hot chocolate.

Year 7 students participated in a debate competition against Central Foundation boys school at @HoganLovells law Firm.

They were exceptional, words can describe how well they did and top it off they won beating Central Foundation, 2 votes to 1.

Last Friday, a mixture of year 7,8 and 9 students attended an engagement day at @HomeOfCricket. They had tours of the grounds and also were able to practise batting and fielding on some of the academy grounds.

Year 7 students have been exploring Portraiture and Cubism in their Art/Print unit this term, producing their final Cubist self-portraits. These are some of their outcomes combining two types of ink.

On Thursday, all Y10 students visited the Globe Theatre to watch e performed on stage as part of the Globe's Playing Shakespeare series. EGA watched the play in style from the top circle seats which gave everyone an excellent view of the action on stage!

All Year 7s visited Kew Gardens as part of this terms drop day. It was an opportunity for the year 7s to develop their creative writing skills and deepen their knowledge of humanities in a real world context.

They completed tasks from both English and Humanities faculties.

Spanish GCSE students are participating in a Pen Pal programme with a school in Torrevieja (Spain). The students have been writing their letters in Spanish and then translating them into English.

We are really looking forward to reading the letters from the students in Spain!

A group of year 7 and 8 students went to compete in the national junior indoor championship in Stratford. All the students did really well and competed with students who were above their age group.

@WildHeartsGroup, recently hosted the World’s Largest Youth-led Climate Summit and EGA students were selected to attend an in-person COP27 Workshop which involved industry workshops from leading global brands learning from global leaders about sustainable innovations.
