We couldn’t talk about inspirational women without mentioning north east sports superstar, Jill Scott MBE. The former midfielder has been part of teams that have won the FA Women’s Premier League Cup, the FA Women’s Cup and most recently, the 2022 Euros #InternationalWomansDay

Our next inspirational woman is Rosa Parks. An American activist in the civil rights movement, she is best known for refusing bus segregation by standing her ground, and not giving up her seat for white passenger. #InternationalWomansDay

Our second inspirational women is Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman to travel in space. On 16 June 1963, Tereshkova embarked on a solo mission aboard the spacecraft Vostok 6. She spent more than 70 hours orbiting the Earth. #InternationalWomansDay
