@AlThomp @Trevor_Keaton Maybe it’s to improve general focus but even a gung-ho golfer like John Daly once ended up injuring himself because of a camera clicking in the middle of his swing. This wasn’t even a camera clicking but a fake “click” sound from someone’s phone. Completely unnecessary.

@artinventcr OK but in the original work, from almost 3000 years ago, he needs to get assistance from a goddess to disguise his appearance so no one would recognize him. That would’ve been unnecessary if it was implausible that Penelope could recognize him.

@Weird_Scientist @Boxy_FT I mean the gods aren’t really described as being flesh and blood and residing on mountains. They only become visible to mortals when they feel like it and can live on clouds, or Ida or the middle of the sea. They do sometimes walk among mortals in disguise.

@arora_yugam @alexissamibron @rayoniumx The Odyssey and Iliad are also supposed to be centuries old oral traditions that were first written down around 8th century BC. Ramayana is just as imp. a tradition to humanity as the Odyssey—it doesn’t matter if one is older, it’s impossible for either to have copied the other.

@TheManlet_King Agreed but it’s pretty much impossible for either to have copied the other. Or at least very very unlikely. Besides, the elements that are said to be the same really aren’t—the bow and arrow feat is completely different in both, it just happens to involve a bow and arrow.

@alexissamibron @rayoniumx Maybe you’re too illiterate to read my tweet, let alone the Odyssey or Ramayana because I never said they weren’t. Folks are saying Ramayana is older because its plot supposedly happens before Odyssey’s does, which makes no sense.
