@andyburnham@JamesMelville These things you're doing to "help" are doing nothing. I can't get a bus at 6 am. I do not live near a train station. I can't afford to go to a pub as I no longer have disposable income as my food shop for 2 people has hit £80 and the petrol I need to get to work in unaffordable
@RupertLowe10@Angelsfeartogo I can see more diversity in that picture than the Islamic labour party. There's a good 50/50 of men and women and black and white in this picture
Let's be honest.
A lot of young people have stopped believing they'll ever own their own home.
That's what happens when rents are high, house prices are high, and saving for a deposit feels impossible.
My Labour government is stepping in to help.
With Your First Home, first-time buyers will be able to buy a new-build home with a deposit of just 2.5%.
Because hard work and saving should count for something.
And because the dream of owning your own home shouldn't belong only to those with help from the bank of Mum and Dad.
The absolute worst thing about opening this app is spotting a banger tweet for 0.2 seconds before the feed auto-refreshes and sends it straight into the void.
Gone forever.
@zarahsultana Moved to Monaco to avoid a tax bill because our government has taxed the wealthy so much it is not in their interest to stay and our economy takes the hit. Higher Tax = Less Tax
So its not right to blame all Muslims for what happened 25 years ago ( 9/11)
But its ok to blame all white people for what happened 300 years ago (slavery)
I get it now.
Honestly, what's the point of even trying to save money and budget in the UK anymore?
You're going to be skint either way.
£2 a litre for fuel
£80 for a weekly food shop
Energy bills are about to go up 25%
Rent prices constantly rising
£20 for a takeaway
Public transport costs a fortune
You step out of the house and you've somehow spent £50.
The country is on it's knees and the cost of living has become a complete joke.
We're done.
@MartinMJ22@PolitlcsUK As a young Welsh man. I was not old enough to vote in the referendum but am old enough to feel the effects. I would never have voted leave
🚨 NEW: The leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland say the future of their nations "belongs in the European Union" as they call for independence from the UK
being married is funny because you'll be chilling, having a bowl of cereal, and your wife will say
i hate these bowls, don't you?
and you'll shrug becuase you don't care and she'll say
i do, they've bothered me for a while now. we need new bowls.
and you'll shrug again because you have honestly, not once, ever considered the bowls at all
then a few days later there will be all new bowls in the kitchen.
and you'll be eating the same cereal in a different bowl, chilling, and she'll say
i love these new bowls
and you'll shrug again because you still don't care but she's happier and the cereal is still good and you didn't do anything at all
@nocontextmemes I got very lucky going down the engineering route. I very nearly did IT in college but decided last minute to go in to machining and found an apprenticeship
I can’t seem to be able to get an NHS dentist
I can’t seem to see my NHS GP
My council can only collect one wheeliebin of rubbish because they’re broke.
There is massive potholes everywhere
I could go on …
My country is falling apart and needs fixings but Labour think sending £655 million to Angola for their infrastructure is a great idea … we need every single penny that is paid to our government by us taxpayers to be spent on our crumbling infrastructure of EVERY service!!!!
Because of the triple lock, the state pension is set to rise by roughly £488 next year.
Our pensioners absolutely deserve security, and Restore Britain will deliver that, but we also need to be honest about who is now largely funding it.
Younger workers are already facing outrageously high taxes, enormous housing costs and the challenge of saving for their own retirement - yet the triple lock can push pensions up faster than prices, leaving a younger generation of workers with an ever-growing burden.
It’s just not fair.
These are our children and our grandchildren.
Personally, I do not believe they should shoulder the costs of our generation’s selfish and destructive approach to the economy - leaving vast national debt as our inheritance is a shameful legacy for us. It just is.
When I launched Restore Britain as a party, I said we would take the difficult decisions needed to deliver a better Britain for those who come after us. I meant it.
So we will replace the triple lock.
Restore Britain will secure the state pension by linking it to CPI, protecting pensioners' purchasing power.
No other serious political party has the courage to do this.
Restore Britain will not attempt to buy votes today with money tomorrow's workers will have to earn.
Young people deserve a fair deal too. Unbelievable for a party leader to say, I know.
Our economy is broken, almost beyond repair - everybody is going to have to pay the price to drag our country out of the very deep hole it is currently in. I mean, everybody.
That includes replacing the Triple Lock, alongside a vast range of other cuts to the size of the state. Millions of freeloading foreign nationals will be deported, the asylum system abolished, and foreign aid reduced to almost nothing.
But we all have to shoulder the burden, sadly.
Everybody is going to have to pay to fix the mistakes of my generation.
@jackisgeeky@ajcdeane There are very few people in hotels for a holiday these days. Thats what holiday parks and airb&b is for. Hotels are usually tradies or visiting family. Hotels are for business not pleasure now
Africans have somewhere to go back to.
Arabs have somewhere to go back to.
Pakis have somewhere to go back to.
Indians have somewhere to go back to.
FFS even Jews have somewhere to go back to now.
Where else are we suppose to go ?
So apparently , the descendants of Europe are the bad guys for not wanting to be homeless.
The only excuse these people have is someone you were related to 100 years ago beat our ancestors.
Go fuck yourself , we are done with the gaslighting.
We have a right to exist and the right to a homeland.
If you try to take it from us we are going to defend it.
I’m in my 20s and I’m sure other young men feel the way I do.
What do you seriously expect us to do , roll over and die ?
Fuck you.
