Despite concerns over the challenging financial position facing the sector.... £38 milliok in arms length foundations, principals' pay outstrips govt ministers and don't forget the many millions that left the sector with senior staff payoffs. Challenging indeed!
Great to see @JGKelly2015 out and about today. Message is " Use you vote" if you haven't already. EIS/FELA ask for your support by voting YES on the National working Agreement. This will strengthen our position and improve conditions. Hope there weren't to many bags in our office
Strong support at Parliament for @EISFela lecturers striking for a fair cost of living pay rise. @CollegesScot need to get this sorted and my colleague @IainGrayMSP was right to ask the First Minister to intervene. That’s what the trade unions and workers are calling for too.
Meanwhile, back at home FE colleges in serious national industrial action.
Sorry, but @RichardLochhead seems to be busy doing everything except Scottish FE.
@RichardLochhead Richard I understand your concerns. I also want to ask when you and the Scottish Government are likely to get involved to resolve the current dispute with EIS FELA and Colleges Scotland? @JohnSwinney@NicolaSturgeon@EISFela
Support is so appreciated but none more so than from students. We are entering crucial next few weeks and @NicolaSturgeon@johnswinney
