The church has focused on the many for the last 40 years. What if the next assignment is focusing on the few?
@EJCPod A very true statement. As I’ve gotten older, I realize how damaging the romanticized “lone wolf” Christian is damaging to true spiritual, emotional, and relational growth. Growing with your brothers and sisters is difficult and ugly. Oh but what a blessing!
The pandemic pushed Christians online. Many left their local churches for nothing more than a podcast. But you can't be a disciple on your own. Church is more than just information. We need the body of Christ.

No one wants to hear this. But what if God has been preparing you to pastor through even more difficult seasons to come? Maybe he's been strengthening you for more this whole time.
We all want to see our ministries be fruitful. But what if the only way to have a fruitful ministry is to focus on having a faithful ministry and leave the fruitfulness to God?🧐
We don't need pastors who can do everything. We need pastors who are healthy and faithful.🙌
We normally want to hide from suffering. But God has always used suffering to grow his Church. ⛪

What if our "God-sized dreams" are crushing us under their weight? Maybe we need a human-sized calling and simply allow God to work through us. 😌
The calling of a pastor isn't greater than the calling of anyone else. It's important that we keep the right perspective when leading in the church.
