Took Stokely to the groomer this morning and it’s the time of year for his annual short cut and I just know I’m gonna be disgusted when I pick him up. 😑
@thetewaynej Tbh- no.
They’re comfortable and versatile BUT the price point is too high for the quality. After a few washes it’s pretty basic.
I have two and I only got the second one because I just wanted a black set.
Yup. My work schedule is all over the place So it’s hard to get in with mine. At the very least I know I can do a quick virtual call at least for small things that come up.
She actually referred my to my sleep study from a virtual appointment with zero hesitation
I’m so grateful that my PCP is a Black woman.
She can be hard to get into as well BUT she’s very flexible with virtual/telehealth options, timely, and managing primary needs. Her nurses and MA’s a great as well. Hard to find but with worth it.
We definitely need more Black Doctors, it’s almost scary at how scarce we are.
As I’m in the market to find a new PCP.
My last one was a Black Woman, but her availability was limited and it was a challenge to get in when I needed to.
While looking there are so many
Crazy part being that she’s not even dark skinned. She’s brown skinned like MILLIONS of other Black women.
People are just hateful, racist and sexist and find any forum to flex that on a Black woman who has accomplished more than most and is publicly very popular.
Laverne Cox has lost 90% of her income (corporate speaking engagements, teaching, etc.) and blames Donald Trump's "regime" for attacking gender ideology and DEI.
“This regime has threatened to defund any colleges and universities that promote gender ideology, DEI. Even though I’d be teaching a graduate acting class, it could be perceived as promoting trans ideology. These are the realities. I’m not complaining – I’m very blessed. I think the important thing to note is that if Laverne Cox’s income has gone down significantly, what about all the other trans people who are not as privileged and as blessed as I am? There are material consequences for this kind of discrimination and scapegoating.” (via The Guardian)

He also talked about a friend of his who got flewed out of the country without having to open his damn legs😭 Cam Newton then revealed he has any flew any woman out of the country without cracking her👀
“We outside we getting tricked on, i’m out of the country, i ain’t have to f-ck, these nggas gon pay and i’mma have me a ball and i want everything at chanel at hermes, i want all of that shit and i ain’t gotta f-ck nothing, we outside having fun and a dollar don’t leave my purse, ain’t nobody f-cking nothing”
This may be a hot take, but following many travels, I've determined that THIS is the Midwest.
Dakotas are amazing, but are nothing like the Midwest.
Missouri feels more like a Southern state than Midwest.
Kentucky is more like Tennessee and Virginia than the Midwest.
@urbangaygriot And it should explain how Broadway (especially now) is about business and money. The smaller houses and regional shows are doing the real “theatrical” work in a lot of ways. And a lot of times - it’s not making it to New York
@DeVngelo__ Cause why did she record this song down there?! She should’ve recorded this song at least a half step higher if not a whole step so it sits better in her natural singing voice. She don’t have the low register like that.
Ragtime is undoubtedly one of my favorite musicals BUT this is accurate. While the Black leads characters have a great arc- it’s not an uplifting piece. Pretty much everything for the Black characters in the show is trauma and overcoming.
As a black person who loves musical theatre, I am so tired of having to explain to non black musical theatre people that Ragtime is not a musical that uplifts black people. And then I’m always met with “ This story is so needed rn!” And to that I ask… For who?
