🧵 thread: how i write with a full-time job (like: if you were actually asking, this is what i'd actually tell you)
1. i write when i can. this means i look at my schedule with a sense of realism and actually look at the time i have available to write. i can't multitask writing.
Our store is a joint venture of two local presses, @rarebirdlit and @unnamedpress. They’ve joined forces to create a neighborhood bookstore that is also a home for independent publishing here in LA!
While we will still be publishing two pieces next week up on the website, the editors who are managing our social media accounts will be out of town so our social media will likely not be updated for the next two weeks, but keep checking our website for new work next week!

"The girls would sit
relaxed and non-chalant
leaning on one hip
right knee slung over left
arms crossed at the elbows.
They would lounge so
not unlike splendid iguanas
basking on rocks,
their slow lazy speech
recounting buoyant weekends."
