As a Nigerian, I find it absurd that since 2022, Peter Obi has been the only major front-runner relentlessly grilled, constantly interviewed, and forced to engage the public at every turn. Meanwhile, Atiku and Tinubu seem to glide by without facing anything close to the same scrutiny. What exactly is going on here? Do they believe they are too important to be questioned, or are their supporters simply more comfortable shielding them from accountability and public scrutiny?
Nobody hears from the president, who sits on high Mount Olympus and only graces Nigerians with carefully scripted appearances and distant press statements from Bayo Onanuga, as though leadership is a privilege to be admired from afar rather than a responsibility to be constantly examined. Atiku is no different, equally distant, equally insulated, and just as unwilling to submit himself to the kind of sustained, unscripted engagement that true leadership demands.
My Prime Minister, Carney, faces the press almost daily and endures relentless grilling from the opposition in Parliament on virtually every issue. That is what accountability looks like in a functioning democracy.
Tinubu, on the other hand, answers to no one.

Sustainable Success Is Built on Competence, Integrity, Discipline and hardworking.
On Saturday, I had the privilege of interacting with young entrepreneurs, professionals, business leaders, and members of the emerging generation at the This Generation Conference hosted by Summit Bible Church in Abuja.
Our discussion focused on what it takes to thrive in the marketplace despite prevailing economic challenges. I shared insights from my years in business and public service, emphasizing that sustainable success is built on integrity, competence, discipline, and a commitment to creating value for society.
I reminded participants that no nation develops by consumption alone. Nations progress when their citizens are productive, innovative, and committed to excellence. Our young people must resist the temptation of shortcuts and instead embrace education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, and ethical leadership.
The future of Nigeria depends largely on the quality of leadership and enterprise this generation is willing to build. We must move from a culture of sharing poverty to one of creating prosperity through production, innovation, and responsible governance.
I left encouraged by the energy, intelligence, and determination of the young people I met. Their questions, ideas, and aspirations reaffirmed my belief that Nigeria’s greatest resource remains her people.
Together, through hard work, integrity, and purposeful leadership, we can build the New Nigeria that is POssible. -PO
"I don't support any politician."
But you spend your entire day criticising Peter Obi.
"I don't do politics."
But you're quick to analyse anything said by Peter Obi and give it a different meaning.
"I'm just for Nigeria to get better."
But you never mention the insecurity in the country nor the hardship ravaging the populace.
"I'm not interested in 2027."
But you're tracking the activities in the NDC like it's your lifeline.
"Politics is not that deep."
But you've blocked almost all Peter Obi's supporters in your timeline.
“I’ve listened” like bat spoke in the first place 😭😭.
Abeg abeg abeg.
Our amiable fence sitter, relax.
I know you’re voting bat in ‘27.
However the thing you wouldn’t do is to form sophisticated armchair analyst and speak like he has been that decent.
Tinubu's failure is so obvious that his people are not saying that he has not failed. They are saying that nobody can fix Nigeria and that everyone should give up on Nigeria.
Those guys are pathetic.
Nigeria is the only place where a politician can fail spectacularly and still have supporters explaining why the failure is actually a success.
Such idiocy must end in 2027.
#TinubuMustGo
“Tinubu is not the owner of Nigeria, he’s not a lord, he’s just a public servant, Nigeria has been here before him, if he doesn’t resign honourably, we’re going to resign him through voting 🗳️. We’re not scared of t£argas and bull£ts”
- Abuja protesters says
Lol not too long ago you were hyping Sowore who has never shared any economic plans besides legalising weed.
You're a Tinubu supporter. Be bold enough to own it and stop pretending to be on the fence
Globally, around 51,000 women and girls were killed by an intimate partner or family member in 2023…an average of 140 every day. Nearly 60% of women intentionally killed were murdered by an intimate partner or family member. (UN Women)
It’s not women doing those kills, so nope women are not women’s greatest enemies
“Ever Since I Was Born In My Lifetime In This Nigeria, I Have Never Seen a Nigerian Politician Come Out And Say That As a Former Governor, He Left Money Behind, Built Over 800 Kilometers Of Roads, Elevated His State’s Education From Last To Top, And Since Leaving Office Has Not Taken Pension Or Any Benefits Attached To Being a Former Governor. And Again, The Reason Why He Was Impeached Was Because He Refused To Pad a Budget That Was Supposed To Be Used For Renovations Something They Wanted To Do For Billions Of Naira, He Did For Less Than ₦400 Million. To Top It Off, The EFCC Of Nigeria, One Of The Smartest Security Agencies In The World, Has Not Found Anything Significant Against Peter Obi. I Have Never Seen Such a Leader In Nigerian History.”
Find it interesting that people who say they don't support any of the candidates in the forthcoming elections make it their raison d'etre to attack/criticise only Peter Obi consistently as though he's the one in power or he's the only opposition candidate.
Yesterday, I had the honour of hosting my brother and partner, His Excellency Peter Obi, at my residence in Abuja.
I warmly welcomed him back from his highly productive international trip, and we engaged in frank and productive discussions on key partisan and national issues.
Our party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), remains united. As leaders, we must continue to demonstrate maturity by making the necessary sacrifices and tolerating our differences in pursuit of our shared goal.
We are resolute in this mission, and together, we shall ensure that Nigeria is OK. - RMK
This handle is the archetype of a saying by a certain wise man: "your head, na breeze full am."
APC closeted supporters are funny. I mean, if I don't think a candidate is relevant, I won't spend a second talking about them. Go through my timeline, you won't find anything about Atiku therein, because I know that Baba is probably winning only Adamawa.
But you see this air-headed idiot, only 'cunny' aspersions liter her timeline, forming neutral. Nothing of substance.
Breeze. Air. Maybe small sawdust.
Why are we making it seem as though Nigeria’s problems require an Economics Professor to solve?
I’m not saying he has all the answers or that he’s necessarily the most intelligent candidate. But dismissing him solely because you dont agree with some of his takes is harsh.
Also, the people you that “know better” have governed, yet, no results.
Aside from the fact that this opinion is yours to hold, Blessing, I am quite surprised at some statements you chun out.
For a certain, smarter things has been said by you than you recent political write ups.
I have carefully studied what you do, how you do it and a few concepts comes close to mind:
Preemptive victimhood — When person attacks or provokes someone, then immediately positions themselves as the victim in anticipation of a response. This frames any rebuttal as aggression. Your Modus.
Poisoning the well — A rhetorical fallacy where someone discredits an opponent before the opponent speaks. By telling others that your response will be insulting or unreasonable, they prejudice the audience against anything you say afterward. You’ve gotten so well at this, I bet you’ve been getting a lot of private coaching from folks like Japhet.
Gaslighting (partially) — If the person subsequently portrays your reasonable response as evidence that you are the problem, despite their own provocation, elements of gaslighting may be present.
Reactive abuse — This one is psychologically inclined. One person provokes another or sets of people repeatedly and then highlights the victim’s emotional reaction as proof that the victim is the abusive or unreasonable one. Something you truly have the bandwidth for.
Narrative framing or impression management — Deliberately shaping how others will interpret future events before those events occur. I give you A1 here.
Of these, “poisoning the well” is probably the most accurate description of your communication tactic itself, while “reactive abuse” best captures your larger manipulation strategy where someone provokes a reaction and then uses that reaction against you.
On a lighter note, it is FALLACY to say a two term governor, a former Capital Market Leader, a former Banking leader, an entrepreneur, employer of labour and a business man whose businesses predates your conception, does not understand governance.
Even Tinubu I dare say can never say this.
I sincerely look forward to the days you’d be as smart as you’re aggressive, till then I’d advise you take a chill pill and reflect on how you want to communicate your opposition of Mr. Obi.
It’s a free advice use it.
I’ve read this tweet so you don’t have to.
What she’s saying is:
“Waaah waaah😭😭I don’t like Peter Obi because some of his supporters insult me online. They rightly annoy me so much that I can no longer objectively assess the man himself.
Never mind that he built successful businesses, served as governor with measurable achievements, and has spent years discussing economic policy in public. I wouldn’t know any of that because my brain has been thoroughly marinated in APC talking points.
As a result, I have concluded that millions of Nigerians who support him are “asinine, witless cretins” and generally beneath me intellectually. Please ignore the fact that I spent more time insulting voters than explaining why his ideas are supposedly bad”

a young and energetic finance practitioner of less than 10 years experience believes she understands governance and macro economics more than a former 2 term state governor, multiple global ivy league business school graduate, multiple bank director, SEC director, former finance advisor to the presidency, all of these outside his personal business.
whatever is driving you is insane.🙂
