The official numbers for Fan Fest in Philadelphia are in, and they’re quite incredible

Over the 39 days on Lemon Hill, Fan Fest saw

-over 575,000 total fans
-nearly 55,000 fans on June 19th alone
-more than 2.64 million in gross sales for local food trucks
-more than $2.47 million in alcohol sales
-100,000+ Coca-Cola products sold
-18,000+ Lay’s products sold
-at least 6,265 Doritos & Fritos walking tacos
-performances from 51 local artists and musicians, as well as internationally acclaimed acts on non-matchdays

The world came to our doorstep, and we answered the way only Philadelphia can.

We hosted the @FIFAWorldCup 2026, the One Philly Unity Concert for America, the @MLB All-Star Game, @July4thPhilly Festival, cultural exhibitions, @Unrivaledwbb, and the opening chapter of America’s 250th — welcoming nearly 1.4 million guests who walked our streets, filled our stadiums, supported our businesses, and left talking about one thing: our people.

They came for the games. They stayed for the city. This moment belonged to every Philadelphian. You are the reason the world fell in love with the spirit of One Philly.

City leaders Vanessa Garrett Harley, Jazelle Jones, Michael Newmuis, and Susan Slawson who held everything together; Dan Hilferty, Michelle Singer, Meg Kane, and the @FWC26Philly team, who delivered a World Cup for the ages; Michael DelBene and the Wawa Welcome America team; @discoverPHL and @PHLVisitorCntr, Philadelphia250 and @visitphilly; all our union members who worked on building the infrastructure, manning the concession stands and keeping @SEPTAPHILLY running; and each of our hometown teams, particularly the @Phillies, @Eagles, and @PhilaUnion.

None of this would be possible without local, state, and federal partners across every level of government.

To @PPDCommish, Fire Commissioner Jeffrey Thompson, Deputy Managing Director Dominick Mireles and @PhilaOEM, Col. George L. Bivens and the @PAStatePolice, and the @PhillyPolice, @PhillyFireDept, paramedics, @PhilaSanitation, @phl_cgoffice, and @StreetsPhila crews, transit operators, @PhillyMDOEvents and @PhilaParkandRec staff, and other City employees who worked around the clock — Philadelphia is safer, cleaner, greener and prouder because of you.

And here’s the best part: we’re just getting started.

The World Cup left us something worth building on. Lemon Hill became a global stage this summer, and we intend to honor that. The City will invest in Lemon Hill as a premier destination for residents and visitors alike, and we will work hand-in-hand with Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and the surrounding community on legacy investments that reflect what neighbors want for a park that just proved itself to the world. A very special thank you to Robert Allen for identifying this treasure of a space for FanFest.

The celebration that began with our residents will continue with our residents all year long. More block parties. More festivals. More neighborhood moments that reflect the culture, the food, the music, and the character that make Philly, Philly.

Philadelphia, you didn’t just host the world. You showed it who we are. One Philly, a United City!

Before #FIFA start pumping the propaganda tonight and telling us all how amazing this #WorldCup has been, let’s remember they oversaw:

- highest ticket prices ever and took a cut from resale sites.

- did nothing about Somalian referee and dozens of staff who were banned from entering the US for no legitimate reason.

- stood by as Iran were forced to train outside the US and travel in on match days.

- overturned red cards after phone calls with the president.

- Americanised the beautiful game with hydration (TV) breaks and 25 mins half time in the final

- guided Argentina through the tournament with less travel, VAR support and blatantly turning a blind due to their aggression and foul play.
