@Anthony_Keith88@Cameron_covin Congratulation son! I'm proud of you for never giving up on your dream no matter what adversity you may face in life. Daddy loves you and I will always be your number one supporter. Keep Grinding.
I remember being in high school, confused and low-key jealous watching guys in my grade get offers while I had nothing.
“But I’m better than them!”
“I’ve got more experience!”
“My stats are way better!”
Maybe that was true. Maybe not.
Either way—it didn’t matter.
The truth is: what you think doesn’t impact your recruiting reality.
When I finally started getting offers in January/February of senior year, I was grateful... but still disappointed. I didn’t get the ones I wanted.
I remember visiting the small FCS school I ultimately committed to and just feeling this overwhelming relief.
Why?
Because for the first time, I wasn’t coveting everyone else’s offers.
I realized something critical:
You can only take ONE offer.
And when you do, you better fight like crazy to make it work and chase down your goals. That’s when it hit me:
It was never about them.
It was always about me.
My preparation.
My execution.
My one shot.
Everyone’s recruiting process is different. And some players get better offers simply because of:
Who they are
Who they know
What level they play at
Where they play
Who their head coach is
How early they started
Or just being in the right place, at the right time, in front of the right people
A lot of that? You can’t control.
So — be patient.
Have faith.
Keep working.
The “stars” often fizzle out or get caught up in the distractions of college life anyway.
Funny thing is… I was one of the only kids from that group I used to be jealous of who actually lasted past sophomore year in college football.
Wish I knew all that back then.
Remember — you can go to the league from D1, D2, D3, JUCO, or even NAIA, but EITHER way, it's going to require an incredible amount of work and sacrifice @5StarFBRecruits 💫💯
@Mgonzalez08_@SFA_Football Great feet, Max. I always loved your work ethic. You are still my best linemen to come through Kitty Hawk. You made my coaching job easier, because you out work everybody. Good luck with your senior season. I will be there supporting you!
@Anthony_Keith88 Keep grinding, young man! Out hustle, outwork everybody and set your apart from everybody else. Stay humble and hungry. Your future is bright!
