As part of a Big Help Out event with other local community groups EL&ELS members organised a sewing repair table. Others repaired electrical goods and bikes. The Coop gave tea & coffee. The giving and receiving of help created a warm smiley glow. It’s not complicated😊

ELELS’s community seder was organised by Alice Wilcock and Jane Porte, lead by Rabbis Richard Jacobi and David Hulbert and attended by 90 members and friends. It was so lovely to be together again. Guests Archdeacon Elwin with wife Sue joined us. חג פסח שמח
Sunday’s Purim spiel was a huge success, from our rousing Disneyfied Spiel, to the costume parade and the hamantaschen. Thanks to everyone involved and especially the New Generations Committee for organising and the Cheder team for performing!

The Prime Minister, @RishiSunak, speaking this evening at a reception hosted by the Board of Deputies, @ElnetUk and @UKAbrahamAccord, to celebrate the second anniversary of the Abraham Accords, between Israel, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdoms of Bahrain and Morocco.
East London and Essex Liberal Synagogue decorated its sukkah. We checked its dimensions and construction were kosher then said the blessing and enjoyed our challah.
The community of the East London and Essex Liberal Synagogue joins with the nation and wider international community in mourning Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We offer our deepest condolences to King Charles and the four generations of the Royal Family.
