It's still giving Michael being like Sonny and protecting his kid's Mom at all costs.

Context matters. In that moment, Michael quickly shook Willow in an attempt to wake her up from psychosis and understand what needed to be done. The priority was to get her out of there so as not to scare Wiley. The implication that this was an abusive moment is inaccurate.

Michael was a SA survivor and saw Kristina, Sam, and Willow threatened by men in the past (Carly, Liz etc)

@kemdee_ohjay What's so funny to me is that many antis claimed Katey and Chad looking like siblings to them was the reason they didn't like Millow. However, Rory and Katey look sooooo much more alike... it's wild. 🤣

@cdkmkt Do I think he embodies the role like Chad did? No, of course not... Chad played Michael for 14-15 years or so. But, as a recent recast, Rory is doing really well, and his mannerisms today reminded me of how Chad would play Michael. He felt like Michael today, and it was great!

Rory did great in his scenes today! Ngl, I've been having a difficult time seeing him as Michael because his mannerisms & response to situations weren't quite right... which is fair since he just took over the role... but today, I finally saw Michael!

@kemdee_ohjay It was the sudden eruption of emotion for me when Michael was yelling at Willow. Chad did that so well, and Rory did it justice! It shows the tension Michael holds just beneath the surface... his struggle to maintain composure against his inherent dark side.

I just think it's real funny that Willow is harping on that #Millow didn't tell each other the truth when she told the biggest and most egregious lie of all.

One of her lies equaled her literally dying and lying about it but his "lies" equaled hurt feelings. GIRL. #GH

Miss Chad in the role of Michael. Don't get me wrong, I like Rory, & I think he's doing good as a replacement. However, CD embodied the role. From the start, he always deeply understood Michael's complex nature & you could feel the tension Michael inherently carried onscreen.

@crimsonrum Chad definitely would have killed these scenes and collected at least another Emmy nomination. He has the intensity and edge, as well as the nuance, when playing Michael that's really difficult to achieve. Rory is doing well, but I definitely miss Chad.

Adding to this that Chad knew how to go from calm to unhinged in a heartbeat. That's what makes Michael Michael... he's constantly keeping the demons from his upbringing at bay in order to maintain peace. But, that inward struggle causes a tension that Chad knew how to express.

@NikiWinton Chad understood the tension someone with that much trauma carries. It's why Michael has been one of my favorite characters because Chad knew how to visibly show that struggle with his expressions and mannerisms. Hopefully, Rory develops this, too... we'll see.

@Coltongirlhardt Exactly! I wish we could have seen the return of Chad's Dark Michael before he left. That's what won him an Emmy, so it would have been amazing to see him channel that same energy towards Drillow. It would have been explosive!

@ELADH9 Thank you! Sounds like you may have dealt with the same, so if you have, I'm sorry, too. Yeah, I think many are tired of the hypocrites. It's frustrating watching people only protect their faves, but turn around and bash others. It just needs to stop.

@ELADH9 I will say, I'm definitely harsher with a certain group on here, OP included, because they've attacked me for liking my faves, then attacked me for criticizing their fave characters... not even the actors. So I find them trashing the actors quite hypocritical.

@ELADH9 LW gets trashed a lot by a certain group on here, though, and the OP is one of them. I'm not even a Carly fan, but it's constant with them and frustrating to see them turn their hate on LW for no reason. I've called out others for trashing other actresses. It's all rude.
