All smoke alarms, including hard-wired ones, must be replaced every 10 years or less. Due to the accumulation of dust, smoke and other particles, the sensors in the alarm become less sensitive as time goes by. Check the back of the device for date of manufacture.

We remind residents to close doors behind them in a fire and stay out once exited. Pictures show what the interior door held back. House may have smoke and water damage but property and lives were saved. @NapaneeFire @Greater_Napanee @ONFireChiefs @omfpoa @OAFTO

CREWS from all 3 stations responded to a garage fire on Bridge St. Deck gun used for an initial knock down and hand lines stopped fire from getting into roof and house. One occupant rescued and their dog.@NapaneeFire @Greater_Napanee @ONFireChiefs @OAFTO @omfpoa

Primary location of fire was in the garage, two vehicles on fire, deck gun used to try to slow any spread to the home.
