Today it's our turn for the School of Humanities research week! Our panel is on language, gender and sexuality!
Lovely to have some of our PhD students @AR_Thornton and Sara and MA graduate @AlexWoodward11 presenting their amazing work. @ELL_UoB@CTSG_Brighton
@FalmerLib@tmacneil @EarlyYearsErica So true! We are having THE bread debate tgis afternoon with the LX553 students (language, identity and power) 🍞😂🍞😂🍞😂🍞. Ps no idea about the song, but i'll add this as a seminar task
We organized a quiz for all our @ELL_UoB students yesterday! We had 4 winners (2 in their first year, one in the second year and 1 in the third year) and we were happy to award a £10 voucher at @Feminist_Books_ in Brighton. And it was SO much fun (we are planning one for Xmas)
We like to think of ourselves as a vital public service and what better way to do than by delivering the first #FridaySongChallenge of the year. Can you guess the name of the song and tell us who sang it from the cryptic book cover clue? 🤔
Students of @ELL_UoB@Uni_English are sharing their thoughts about and experiences of decolonising teaching, spaces and interactions. And I am super proud of them for the poweful people/speakers they are.
First year students, we have prepared some activities for you! And if you have any question, you can post them on our discussion board! Access my studies ➡️new students 2020➡️subject area English language and linguistics.
