🚨 Erik ten Hag on Cristiano Ronaldo’s time at Manchester United:
“Cristiano let me and the team down. We want to build with him and had agreement on the team’s direction. He didn’t always train or press as expected and sometimes acted as if he was bigger than the team.
I respect Ronaldo, but I felt his rivalry with Lionel Messi sometimes got into his head, making him believe he was above normal training standards.”

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is the story of a hero who finally stops running from himself.
Four years after the spell that erased Peter Parker from the world’s memory, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is no longer the awkward teenager swinging between school and the Avengers. He’s an adult living in near-total isolation. No one remembers him. MJ and Ned have moved on with their lives at MIT. Aunt May is gone. The only identity left is the mask.
Peter throws himself completely into being Spider-Man full-time. He fights street-level threats, partners with Detective Jean DeWolff, and even crosses paths with the Punisher. But the loneliness eats at him. The constant pressure of protecting a city that doesn’t know his name triggers something deep inside his biology. His powers begin to evolve: organic webbing replaces the mechanical shooters, his spider-sense sharpens into something almost overwhelming, and aggression starts to bleed through the suit.
What makes (Brand New Day) special is that it treats this transformation not as a cool power-up, but as a metaphor for growing up. Peter tries to suppress the changes the same way he’s been suppressing his grief—building an inhibitor device to keep the “monster” under control. Then a powerful new threat arrives: a young telepath named Jean Grey (Sadie Sink), whose own pain and rage mirror Peter’s isolation. She can possess people, rewrite memories, and turn the city against itself. In fighting her, Peter is forced to confront the same question she throws at him in the climax:
“Are you Peter… or are you Spider-Man?”
His answer is the heart of the movie: "I’m both.”
He stops trying to choose one identity over the other. He accepts the full weight of who he is—the lonely kid who still writes letters he’ll never send, and the powerful hero who can still choose connection. That choice lets him reach Jean instead of simply defeating her, offering her the same thing he’s been denying himself: the chance not to face the darkness alone.
"Brand New Day" stands out because it finally lets this Spider-Man grow up without losing the soul of the character. It’s more grounded and emotionally mature than the previous films, blending spectacular New York action with quiet, aching moments of a man watching the people he loves live lives that no longer include him. It remembers that Spider-Man’s greatest battle has never been against villains it’s the daily fight to stay human while carrying a responsibility no one else can see.
And when the credits roll and a familiar secret handshake begins again, it feels like exactly what the title promises: a brand new day.

An office romance almost got me suspended. A network outage made me indispensable.
You won't believe which failed first: my love life or the company network.
It started like every bad IT decision:
"Relax, what's the worst that could happen?"
Famous last words.
One office romance later, management decided I needed some immediate time off to reflect on my life choices.
Suspended.
Just like that.
My access was gone. My reputation was hanging by a thread. My career was stuck at 99% loading.
I went home thinking I'd just made the biggest mistake of my professional life.
Then the universe decided my story needed a plot twist.
SEV-1 INCIDENT.
The company network went down.
Not slow.
Not unstable.
DOWN.
Phones stopped ringing. Applications stopped responding. Users started creating tickets about not being able to create tickets.
Panic spread through the office faster than a virus on an unpatched laptop.
Managers were calling managers. Directors were calling directors. People were holding emergency meetings because Teams wasn't working.
Then someone asked the question nobody wanted to hear:
"Who knows this network best?"
...
Silence.
The kind of silence that makes executives nervous.
Because the answer was sitting at home, suspended.
Suddenly, I went from "HR problem" to "business-critical infrastructure."
The same company that disconnected me discovered I was connected to a lot more than they realized.
