Here is a slideshow that I have been working on so that we can begin to discuss the educational barriers that exist and how they lead to lack of employability in students and recent grads. #EM203Mueller https://t.co/jmyF5rmGtT
An issue that students face around the world and one that I have seen first hand, is the irrelevance of our education system. With the knowledge we gain in school, we aren't given the opportunity to transfer this into skills thus inhibiting future employability. #EM203OC1Problem
Don't like the #AmberAlert notification waking you up? Turn your phone off at night. Oh, you leave it on in case of an emergency? You mean... like an amber alert? 🤦♀️
The system's not perfect, but it does work.

Interesting to see Ontario's efforts towards an inclusive and diverse education system. From it's publication in 2009, how far do you think we've come? #EM203Research#EM203Mueller

"The consequences can be dire for children in these situations, because students with home internet consistently score higher in reading, math and science. And the homework gap in many ways mirrors broader educational barriers for poor and minority students."
@EM203JustinEng Great job with your concept map! There's so many small but important factors and I would say as well that the lack of proper waste disposal is a seemingly small issue but one that has a large impact. #EM203Problems
@EM203MStarr I think that your concept map is a great representation of the environmental issues we're facing. I would add that with the extreme weather and heat waves, we are more prone to death and diseases in areas where combative resources are scarce.

@EM203MKhurram I love how relevant this topic is to us and can completely relate to some of it! I think that another large problem with our education system is the fact that we gain little insight into life after school and preparation for the future.

@Em203KWhitlock Great concept map, this is often a topic that is overlooked. I think its especially important to ensure the content is clear across each school board and mindful of different cultural backgrounds. #EM203Problems
@EM203ply Completely agree Patricia, it's so great to have a course where you are able to learn and further express that learning through multiple platforms. This way, everyone has the chance to develop their weaknesses as well as preform well given their strengths!
@EM203ETostevin Agreed, I've felt the same over these past three weeks! From what we’ve learnt so far I love that I can take these new concepts and now apply them to my own life and learning outside of this course.
@EM203nschnarr I completely agree Natalie, its interesting to think about how much is shared on the internet and especially on websites like Twitter. We come to learn about things these days through others experiences and their reflection of it (as their tweets).
