Had a moment of reflection and honestly, I'm not on board with the 'polluter pays' principle as a standalone solution. It risks passing costs to consumers without fixing the root problem. We need systemic and sustainable practices that prevent pollution in the first place

I completely agree! The media landscape has fundamentally shifted, and outlets like Manchester Evening News must adapt to the new reality where engagement and trust are earned, not given. The audience now has a powerful voice and a multitude of choices. #EM203Robin

That Manchester Evening News statement comes across as extremely self entitled. Fact is the old established media isn't what it used to be and can't just dictate to the masses what it likes anymore. The numbers don't lie
