@OliviaRoxann What are some strategies that parents can use to help limit the screen time of their children to promote balance and protect from the potentially harmful effects of excess screen time on mental health?
@OliviaRoxann As a student at Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada, I've been looking into the link between screen time and declining mental health in children. What are some ways that we can counter this and help get kids unhooked from their screens?
Inactivity levels among Americans is on the rise. Cost is a significant barrier to the average American's activity levels, so a potential solution would be to decrease the cost of fitness. Check out this image which highlights how expensive fitness is in America.
The problem I have identified is Climate Change (specifically, keeping global temperature increases below 1.5 degrees Celsius by 2050). Attached is a Harvard Business Review article that outlines some potential solutions to the problem:

Hello to all my Twitter Followers. EM203 has been quite the course so far as it has allowed me to engage in very unique opportunities. I am gaining an understanding of technology and its importance (this is my first Twitter account), and did my first Sudoku Puzzle! #EM203Robin.
@EM203RNeal Hey Ryan! Really interesting fact there, I think technology overuse is a massive issue with today's youth, I would even go as far as saying that the 40% figure could be a bit low. Either way, very interesting stuff, looking forward to seeing what we learn in the coming weeks.
@EM203Roppen Glad to see you're enjoying EM 203 so far! I've also found the content extremely interesting thus far and am excited to see what topics we cover in the coming weeks!
@EmmaGriersonn Hi Emma! I also found connectivism to be a very interesting take on how individuals learn. I wonder if it'll become an even more prominent approach to learning theory as technology becomes more integrated into the classroom experience?
@EM203JKanter Hi Josh! So glad to hear that you've been enjoying EM203 as well, I've also found the lessons on the importance of technology to its users to be extremely insightful. Looking forward to learning more about learning theories such as Constructivism as well.
@tobin1214 Hey Tobin! I've also found it super interesting to dive deeper into how we learn and consume information in a digital age, can't wait to see what we'll learn in the next few lessons!
I've had a really great time in my EM203 class so far, enriching my understanding of technology and its impact on users, as well as the 3 M's of media. I also found the study of the learning theory Behaviourism to be particularly interesting! #EM203Robin
