@CauriePutnam My name is Hadil, and I am a student at Wilfrid Laurier University. I want to connect with you because we both are advocates against animal testing! I wanted to get your opinion on using human tissue for experiments rather than animal testing.

This link summarizes air pollution drivers and impacts along with its effects on human health, the environment, and economy.
Solutions:
I got the COVID-19 vaccine today! My wing is feeling a little sore, but it'll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy.
Ms. @EricaRHill even said I’ve been getting vaccines since I was a little bird. I had no idea!
I completely agree with your perspective! Standardized testing doesn’t provide feedback on how to perform better so students wont have a template on what they should improve on. It also doesn’t value diversity or creativity which limits the format of responses. #EM203Robin
Problem: Education systems assume each student learns in the same way with the use of standardized testing. This does not promote diversity amongst classmates. @EM203tmoloney#EM203problems
Thank you for your concept map Alexa! Your insights clearly explained how gender biases in sport can affect sexualization & pay inequality. A problem you touched on is athletic sponsorship deals between the sexes and how that affects the media. @EM203ASawchuk#EM203problems
Great concept map Thomas! I completely agree with your thought process that wealth inequality is difficult to escape and how it affects our education today. It’s important to consider how wealth inequality can also lower levels of economic growth. @ThomasClayton88#EM203problems
Thanks for sharing your concept map Carlee! I agree that there is fundamental value when children participate in sports. It’s important to also consider what elements will impact children’s behaviour through sport positive/negative reinforcements. @EM203carleebann #EM203problems
@ThomasClayton88 Hello Thomas! Its so nice to e-meet you.I completely agree with you. Learning by trial and error is one of the best ways to learn. Although it is an approach that takes the most time,it is effective when avoiding time-consuming mistakes. It’s a way to develop good learning habits.
@EM203SafaElahi Hello! I agree, this course has been very interesting & has allowed me to dive deep into my own personal perspectives. It’s important to apply what you learn to real life because then you’re actively engaged in what you’ve learnt. It has made my learning experience more authentic.
@EM203JessicaW Hi Jessica, what a great perspective! It’s interesting how technology affects almost every aspect of our lives, especially in our generation. From productivity, to socialization, and even transport efficiency! I’m excited to learn more about the learning theories along with you!

@EM203MLIN Hi Matt, this is a very interesting point! Connectivism plays a strong role in the way we learn today. It combines general information, thoughts, and theories in a useful manner. This framework allows technology to give us the opportunity to make choices about our learning.
@EM203VinhTo Great point Vinh! Learning by doing really encourages active engagement. It is also a recognizable technique to ingrain knowledge into memory. Additionally, it is a more personal way of learning. Thus, giving individuals an opportunity to reflect and refine their own learning.

My first lessons in this class have been fulfilling as I have gotten to understand more about learning theories, especially new ones such as connectivism and how they play a role in our understanding of information, with the use of technology. #EM203Robin
Throughout the first few weeks of EM203, I’ve learned what an impact digital technologies have made when addressing problems. These impacts can directly connect to the way people learn through the development of technology. #EM203Robin
