Hello @LaurierPres, for EM203, we are to speak to an expert on an issue we choose. I selected transfering to online schooling due to the pandemic. As WLU President, what are your thoughts on how that transition period has/will go for students being in person for the first time?
Current developments in Ukraine may be distressing for members of the Laurier Community. Laurier offers its full support to students, staff, and faculty who may be affected by these events.

@EM203LCabaday Great Map! Costs of post-secondary education is a reason many students don’t attend. A factor of this problem is with gov orgs such as OSAP, not being specific enough to each individuals needs, depending on the individuals direct income and support #EM203Problems
I believe life as become extremely difficult without the use of smartphones and technology, as everyone is in constant communication at all times, and if one person is without the device that allows that, they will inevitably feel left out of the loop. #EM203Robin#EM203Research
📱 For many, smartphones have become an essential part of daily life.

@EM203Amanda Loved your concept map! Increased technology use contributes to kids lack of exercise. Being able to connect with people on phones and computers makes it easier to charge your social battery without going outside and being physically active. #EM203Problems
With many different methods and models of learning, we continue to learn in our daily lives without realizing. Technology and the digital age, have changed the way individuals learn, and the way individuals teach! #EM203Robin
@EM203JennyBui Totally agree and can’t wait for more! I love that we get to communicate with one another through a social media site too, I think it’s a great way to share ideas and knowledge through with our classmates!
@juliagaleEM203_ I’m super excited too! My goal is to become a teacher after school and think it’s so great and beneficial to learn this! Do you find this course helpful in regards to what you want for your future career?
@em203amccarles I totally agree! And EM203 is a great tool to help learn how to keep up with and strive when learning digitally, something that is so helpful during the lockdowns that have been going on due to COVID-19.
@unirams203 It’s crazy to think about what university was like before the generation of technology, and how much different their learning styles are from ours!
@EM203_RUppal Totally agree Rupinder! It’s really cool and beneficial to learn these types of different digital learning styles for both our own use and to help others when put in leadership roles throughout our futures.
In my EM203 course, I learned that when we engage in two cognitive tasks at once, there will always be negative effects on at least one of the two tasks, even with the generation of digital natives! Looks like I’ll be multi-tasking a lot less. #EM203Robin
