@Chikagirl I am a uni student researching weight stigma in healthcare settings and would appreciate your insight. How can we create a more inclusive and compassionate healthcare system for all body types? Share your thoughts and experiences with us #EndWeightStigma
The issue I am researching is weight bias. To combat this in the public sphere and healthcare sector, we can support clinicians to be educators and advocates by introducing workshops such as the one below:
Obesity Action Coalition: https://t.co/AlSLdv0Xrq This group advocates for issues surrounding obesity stigma and bias and tries to implement measures that would help reduce its prevalence in North America
This website provides an explanation of how weight bias contributes to the stigma surrounding obesity in different settings. #EM203Research https://t.co/ddwbei3QNP.

#EM203Robin thus far, this course has been very engaging and has covered interesting topics I probably would have never looked into myself, such as the different learning theories.
@EM203Kfettes A problem that may be interesting to look into could be, what are the major disabilities that cause barriers to education, and how might these be removed.
@EM203MaylenaM Based on your concept map, a problem to investigate further may be, how effective is advertising against vaping for young adults in Canada, and how it could it be improved.
@EM203IAlla Love the concept map! (LOL, I also did obesity as my topic). I thought it would be interesting for you to elaborate on the issue of how food insecurity affects people of lower SES.
@EM203JackSloan Another learning style we talked about, hands on learning, is really appealing because it emphasizes the importance of trial and error while on the road to success.
@EM203JDegazio I am also enjoying the course, especially the fact that one is able to connect with classmates through platforms like Twitter, as opposed to solely traditionally used discussion posts.
@EM203IAlla I agree with liking the hands-on approach this course takes on. It allows one to learn concepts in a different way than the traditional format.
Thus far, this course has elaborated on the many different ways there are to learn. I appreciate this approach because it allows students to recognize they are not at fault if they do not learn best from standardized methods. #EM203
