Finishing up week 3 of EM203, still surprised by the fact that 39% of young people sleep with their phones! Excited to see what else I learn throughout the course! #EM203Robin
@em203Jadyn That’s a surprising stat for sure Jadyn. It really highlights how connected Canadians are online. Makes me curious about how all that time shapes our daily lives and learning too.
@EM203AMarijan That statistic is wild Aleksandar. It really shows how much our phones have become a part of our daily lives, even in bed. Can’t wait to see what other eye-opening facts we uncover as the course goes on!
@EM203LucasG I totally relate Lucas! It’s amazing how mixing videos, podcasts, and apps changes the way we absorb information. That multi-media, multi-modal, and multi-tasking approach feels way more natural for learning today.
@EM203DV Absolutely Daniel, your insight really captures how complex learning has become today. Embracing multimedia and multitasking isn’t just a skill, it’s essential for navigating this digital classroom you mentioned!
@EM203Ved Totally agree, Ved! It’s crazy how literacy now includes videos, games, and even code, definitely a whole new way to learn and communicate. Your point about the digital landscape being a new classroom really hits home!
Despit being labeled "digital natives", many youth primarily consume rather than create online content, YouTube is popular but few regularly post original media. Interesting to learn that adult internet usage closely mirrors that of youth. #EM203Robin
