A recent video from Lake Michigan shows the beach completely submerged by a meteotsunami in under a minute. This rare event, caused by rapid changes in air pressure, can create large, dangerous waves. @RachelSchoutsen provides an in-depth explanation.
As caused by climate change, 2023 was the highest on record for Canada by a wide margin for total wildfire emissions. This led to some locations in the Northeast recording their worst air quality in decades, and the wildfire smoke extended as far down as the Southeast U.S.
We can see how climate change worsens extreme weathers like monsoon season in South Korea, causing many disasters. Much prepation from visitors and citizens alike need to be made as well. https://t.co/RGG2miuEY9

@EM203AdriennaB I always think this saying I've heard "your 5 closest friends represent who you are". Who you surround yourself with determines the person you end up to be, whether that be subconciously or not.
@gran7590 Hi Joseph! I agree, I think this class has been one of the more interesting classes I've taken. I really love how what we learn can actually be applied in real life as well.
In my first few lessons of EM203, I've learnt a lot on how digital learning has both it's benefits and disadvantages! By best leveraging modern options for learning and matching it to my learning style, it can do wonders for learning various class materials. #EM203Robin

Hi Brian! A problem you can further explore is the link between climate change and housing prices. Specifically, due to the the worsening climate, how has this caused people to move to certain locations increasing price? Hope this helps!

Hi Waleed! About mental health awarness and environemental factors, you can also explore whether individuals' environments enable them to adequately take care of their mental health. Specifically if they have the resources to do so (time, money, etc.)
A significant problem associated with sudden weather jumps, or rapid changes in weather, is the increased risk to human health and safety. These abrupt changes can lead to infrastructure damage. @EM203Sheffield#EM203problems
Hi Ryan! From your concept map, I believe that expensive housing market can widen the gap between different socio-economic groups as well, limiting access to quality housing for lower-income individuals. @EM203rcampbell#EM203problems
