Hey @JohnBarrESPN, I was wondering what your thoughts were regarding what else the NFL can do to help reduce the misuse of pain medications within the league? #EM203
Here is a link to an interesting article which details a study on 644 NFL players (former and current) and their experiences with painkillers in the league #EM203

I found this graphic to be really eye-opening in regards to the prevalence of the misuse of prescription opioids in the NFL. A staggering 71% of NFL players who were prescribed this form of medication misused the prescription drugs. #EM203
I think the misuse of pain killers in the NFL is a relevant issue which needs to be addressed. The consequences of abusing such medications have both long and short term effects which can ruin athletes lives. This is an issue which needs to be addressed. #EM203
After viewing my Twitter analytics, I have been able to realize the reach that my tweets have had and the true impact that online posts can make. The various challenges that I have completed over the past 10 weeks have been both informative and enjoyable. #EM203
I think this article is a great read and it highlights many of the major issues within sport surrounding mental health. Athletes’ mental health often takes a back seat to performance and results which should not be the case. https://t.co/tc8oZZJUNs
Without a doubt one of the hardest interviews I’ve ever watched. Being a hockey player growing up, this is extremely difficult to swallow. The fact that this type of conduct was allowed to occur at hockey’s highest level is just flat out disappointing. #EM203Robin#EM203research

@ThomasClayton88 Great concept map! Wealth inequality is something that is a real issue. One connection I drew from your figure was the impact COVID-19 had on this topic. People in lower socioeconomic classes were impacted much greater than those in the top 1%. #EM203problems
@EM203carleebann Great concept map! One problem that is connected with your concept map is the issue of youth organized sport becoming a business. High level organized sport has essentially turned into who can afford to play instead of who is good enough to play. #EM203problems
@EM203cromeo One problem I identified that is associated with your concept map is the issue of the environment within politics. It is something that is highly contentious and often is used as a pawn (for and against) by most parties to try to gain popularity. #EM203problems
